How to add velvet dots to nettings

I really like veils with dots on them, but they are hard to come by and some websites sell them as much as $32 a yard. Recently I discovered the "velvet dots" on birdcage veils are neither velvet nor dots. They are just made from pipe cleaners. (Pipe cleaners does not seem to hold any high esteem in adult crafts.) All you need to do is cut pipe cleaners into 1/3 - 1/2'' long pieces and fold the wires around the net. Add as much or as little as you like.
