A very long time ago Stylebytes talked about the two things (I don't know what to call it either) in the picture. The one on the left is sold on eBay, it's selling for $300. The skirt on the right is by Acne, but it's only available for stylists according to Stylebbytes. I figured it won't be too difficult to make out of ribbons and zippers. I took the idea further and made something that reminded me of bondage gear...

Mini Beret Instead of paying $32 for a mini beret online, you can casily create one yourself for less than 50 cents. All you need is a 7'' diameter circle of felt and a tiny piece of scrap for the stem. Hand sew a continuous chain of simple stitches along the edge of the circle, then pull the string together to form a hat shape. Make a stem for the hat and sew it to the crown. Record earring display Get a record from Salvation Armyfor 50 cents, use a ruler to make rows of dots 1/2 inches apart. Then take a Dremel tool with the tiniest bit to drill rows of holes on it. Finally drill two larger holes at the top to hang a ribbon through. Sushi bag This bag is created from felt, so there is no need to hem the edge. It should be self-explanatory. Rock and Rolling To create this purse, first use a pointed object to scratch a line along the exact center of a vinyl record. Use a lighter to burn the center line you just scratched so the line become soft and easy to cut. Use a very sharp scissor to cut the record in half immediately. Find a cheap bag that can hide behind the half-record and glue everything together. |
